Castillos Come Up Short at Maine, 1-0
|
Fans watched the Maine Lobsters and the Santurce Castillos fight to the finish.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Maine Lobsters and the Santurce Castillos, 22-year old right-handed pitcher Norbert Bowling was the difference-maker. The Maine right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. Brendon Carr earned his 31st save, after closing out the game.
Lewis Scarth cracked a home run off Nathan Cowan in the bottom of the third. His solo blast put the Lobsters on top, 1-0. In all, Scarth had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
Scarth told a Maine Herald reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
The Lobsters are now 74-50, while the Castillos fall to 60-64.
