Lobsters Lose to Santurce, 5-1
|
Santurce first baseman Ho-win Yang was instrumental in helping the Castillos triumph, 5-1, over the Maine Lobsters. Yang was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Santurce starter Kazuhiro Kanno was credited with the win after throwing 95 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 8-9. The 4th-place Castillos now have a win-loss record of 60-63.
Yang contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Santurce in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Yang took a fastball from Mark Leveque and stroked the home run to center. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Castillos to leap in front, 2-1.
"Good win for us," said Yang. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
