Loggerdoggers Suffer 3-1 Home Defeat
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Omaha Insurers and Beaufort Loggerdoggers.

Omaha pitcher Chris Abbott did his part in helping his team beat the Beaufort Loggerdoggers, 3-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Abbott, the winner, moves to 4-4. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk.

Omaha used a big swing from Billy Robertson to get the win. The first baseman walloped a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Insurers up, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.

Omaha manager Naozane Watanabe said his team played a "no nonsense" game.

Omaha is now 51-71.
