Omaha Claims 5-1 Victory

The Omaha Insurers downed the Beaufort Loggerdoggers, 5-1, at Loggerdoggers Ballpark. Stellar pitching by Chris Burbidge had a lot to do with it. The left-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. The Insurers, at 50-70, sit in last place in the Atlantic Alliance North.
Seong-ho Kang, who is tied for 2nd in the ATAL in runs scored with 74, chipped in a 2-run home run for Omaha in the top of the third. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
"Chris looked very determined to have a good game," said Omaha manager Naozane Watanabe. "He was totally focused and he produced."
