Liverpool third baseman David López played a vital role in his team's 4-2 conquest of Youngstown. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Liverpool. Seung-nam Chong, the winner, improved to 12-3. He held the Thunder to 2 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Dermott Tilbrook earned the save for Liverpool.

López contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Liverpool in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, López took a fastball from Je-won Kim and stroked the triple to right-center. His 6th triple of the season allowed the Beatles to leap in front, 3-2.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said López.

The third-place Beatles sport a record of 61-61.
