Getting a good performance from third baseman Calvin Yates, the Narragansett Seagulls defeated the Youngstown Thunder, 5-2. Yates went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Seagulls. The Seagulls sit in third place in the Atlantic Alliance North with a record of 67-51.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Yates hit a 3-run home run off Hyun-seung Kim. It propelled the Seagulls into the lead, 4-1.

"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Yates. "The only team that can beat us is us."
