Wet weather did not postpone the Shin Seiki-Neo-Tokyo ballgame.

The Neo-Tokyo Akira got a superb performance from pitcher Takahashi Sanu, but the Shin Seiki Evas still won the game, 4-2. Sanu threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. Bob Cowan claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-2. John Sharp earned the save, his 2nd, for the Evas.

Héctor Ramírez came through with a big-time hit for Shin Seiki. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Ramírez after the game.

With the loss, Neo-Tokyo drops to 12-17.
