Kline Impressive in 2-0 Narragansett Triumph
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Narragansett Seagulls and the Inverness Highlanders, pitcher Edmund Kline was the difference between victory and defeat. The Narragansett right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-0 Seagulls win. Kyoshi Murakami recorded the save for Narragansett, his 24th of the season. Narragansett is now 64-50.
Kline, who dominated for Narragansett, earned the victory to move to 11-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7. Inverness batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"All in all, I thought Edmund pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Narragansett manager Oscar Jackson.
