Jaime Encarnación had a strong outing for the Narragansett Seagulls against the Santurce Castillos at Narragansett Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. With the win, Narragansett upped its record to 63-50.

The decisive blow was delivered by Sadaharu Okamura in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Kunisada Nakada to win the game for Narragansett. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place went berserk," Okamura said.
