The Santurce Castillos picked up a win at Narragansett Stadium, knocking off the Narragansett Seagulls, 4-3. On the mound for Santurce was right-hander Bruce Booth. He played a key role in the triumph. Aaron Gamble collected save number 16. The 4th-place Seagulls now sit at 62-50.

Santurce took a 4-1 lead on Takanobu Nakashima's 25th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Nakashima hit in the top of the ninth, left Narragansett pitcher Kyoshi Murakami visibly frustrated.

Santurce manager Pepe Rico commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
