Ricardo Hernández led Youngstown to a triumph over Santurce. The final score was 4-2. The designated hitter went 3 for 3, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 1 run and added 4 RBI. Youngstown pitcher Sean Donnelly got the win. He's now 3-0. Jaime Gutiérrez was tagged with the loss. With the win, Youngstown goes to 50-56, while the Castillos fall to 50-56.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Hernández hit a bases-clearing double off Jaime Gutiérrez. It propelled the Thunder into the lead, 4-1.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Hernández said in reaction to the win.
