Sea Lions third baseman Gareth Bugler put his stamp on his team's 11-5 win over the Narragansett Seagulls. Bugler was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Monterey in the contest. Joe Walker finished the game for Monterey and earned his 20th save. The Sea Lions, at 65-40, sit in first place in the Atlantic Alliance South.

Rochester, Minnesota-born Brian Morris came through in the clutch. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Sea Lions trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single to right to put Monterey on top.

"You can never predict what'll happen," Morris said. "That's why you play the game."
