The Borealis earned a hard-fought, 3-1 win in 11 innings at The Oaks at Aera Field. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Bakersfield pitcher Bill Manley. Manley went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. Bakersfield now has a record of 8-21.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Pedro Luján? The 22-year old second baseman Luján stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Aurora up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
