Loggerdoggers Ballpark was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

In a low-scoring tilt between the Beaufort Loggerdoggers and the Camden Consigliere, 25-year old right-handed pitcher John Burns was the difference-maker. The Beaufort right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. In 6 innings, Burns surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4. He allowed no runs.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Ty Collum, who is tied for 4th in the ATAL in hits with 106, hit a triple. The Loggerdoggers went on to win.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Loggerdoggers manager Carlos Moreno, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
