Both offenses were relatively subdued at Den Bosch Park. Fortunately for the Den Bosch Dykes, though, Bertrand Trelawny was able to deliver in the clutch. He was 3-3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times, to lead his team past the Inverness Highlanders, 2-1. The winner in relief was Guo-qing Zhou. He is now 4-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. The second-place Highlanders now sit at 51-45.

Den Bosch took a 2-1 lead on Trelawny's 16th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Barry Mckinna in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Den Bosch to the win.

"We were in it," said Inverness manager Chad Fountain. "We just didn't score enough runs."
