6 Straight Wins for Dykes
The Den Bosch Dykes withstood a fine game by Inverness third baseman Jhong-shun Zheng at Den Bosch Park, to upend the Highlanders, 9-8. Zheng was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times. Armando Velásquez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 4-1. With the win, Den Bosch goes to 58-37, while the Highlanders fall to 51-44.

The decisive blow was delivered by Juan Hernández in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 30-year old left-handed pitcher José Romero to win the game for Den Bosch. The home crowd went nuts.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Hernández said.
