Sea Lions Stick Thunder with 6-5 Loss
Roy Hesketh did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Youngstown Thunder from being beaten, 6-5, to the Monterey Sea Lions at Thunder Ballpark. Hesketh was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The Sea Lions raised their record to 59-36.

Monterey used the hitting of Rick Thomas to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Sea Lions on top, 4-0. For the game, Thomas had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Thomas, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
