The Inverness Highlanders put together a convincing win at Argonauts Ballpark, defeating the Rockville Reckoning, 11-0. Jhong-shun Zheng was one of the hitting stars. He went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for Inverness. The save went to Zhuo-cheng Ow, his 3rd this season. After today's action, Inverness sits at 49-42, while Rockville falls to 34-58.
Zheng went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 against the Reckoning. In the top of the first inning, he reached on an error by the SS, driving in 2 runs that put Inverness in front, 2-0.
Highlanders manager Chad Fountain had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
