Monterey got a terrific performance from pitcher Vincente González, but it wasn't enough to beat the Omaha Insurers. Omaha won the Cyclones Stadium contest, 3-2. González threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The win makes Omaha 36-55.

Omaha got a clutch hit from Seong-ho Kang. The designated hitter socked a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was game-ender.

"This wasn't a good win," said Kang. "It was a great win."
