Chen Helps Consigliere Run Win Streak to 5
|
Led by Li-ping Chen, the Camden Consigliere defeated the Youngstown Thunder, 5-2. Chen, a native of Tainan, Tainan Shih, hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Consigliere. António López earned the win for Camden. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 10-4. Youngstown's current losing streak is now 4 games.
César García helped out the Camden cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.
"We're rolling right now," said García. "We're playing good baseball."
