Zephyrs Stumble, Lose to Arroyos
The Yuma Arroyos downed the Reno Zephyrs, 8-4, at Washoe Field. The Arroyos were led by Curt Holloway. Holloway hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Aurelio Suárez was the winner. He's now 1-4. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Mario Marino. The Arroyos, with just their 8th win so far in 2042, have yet to catch fire.

Yuma used a clutch at-bat from Kinnojo Yano to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Arroyos ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Solid performance from our side," said Arroyos manager Kiyohisa Takeda.
