Omaha had no answer for Hampton Airborne hurler Kichibei Matsumoto, who overwhelmed Insurers hitters as the Airborne coasted to victory, 6-0. The winning pitcher was Matsumoto, now 1-7. He tossed 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Hampton's record now stands at 13-61, placing them last in the Atlantic Alliance South.

Dermott Douglass had a big 2-run triple for the Airborne in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Hampton leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Ken Crawford and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 5th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Airborne ahead, 4-0.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Matsumoto told the Hampton Times.
