Insurers Win, 7-4, at Hampton
|
The Omaha Insurers knocked off the Hampton Airborne, 7-4, in Atlantic Alliance action at Airborne Ballpark. Omaha pitcher and Nampa, Idaho, native Eric Grimes had an outstanding performance. Ken King closed the door for Omaha, picking up his 15th save of the year. At 29-42, the Insurers are currently last in the Atlantic Alliance North.
Yasuyuki Kato, who is tied for 6th in the ATAL in bases on balls with 39, aided the Omaha cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the right fielder went 1-5.
"Pleased with the effort and the win," said Insurers manager Naozane Watanabe.
