Highlanders Deal Seagulls 9-5 Setback
At Narragansett Stadium, the Narragansett Seagulls and Inverness Highlanders were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Inverness Highlanders grabbed a win, 9-5, over the Narragansett Seagulls at Narragansett Stadium. Inverness left fielder Santos Cruz went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Barry Mckinna got the win, improving to 7-3. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1.

Third Baseman Jhong-shun Zheng made an impact for Inverness, when he swatted a 2-run double off Patrick Smith in the top of the fifth. For the contest, Zheng was 2-5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"I put some good swings on the ball," said Cruz.
