Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Dykes beat the Airborne.

Ángelo Contreras knocked in all 3 runs for the Den Bosch Dykes, helping them beat the Hampton Airborne, 3-2. Ronald Mitchell, credited with the win, is now 8-2. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 5 innings.

There was more than one reason the Dykes beat the Airborne, but Contreras's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

Afterward, Dykes manager Hisanobu Ono was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
