The Narragansett Seagulls and Santurce Castillos delighted fans at Santurce Stadium.

The Santurce Castillos besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Narragansett second baseman Martín Acevedo by beating the Seagulls, 12-5, at Santurce Stadium. Acevedo was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 doubles, and a walk. The Castillos, at 32-34, inhabit 4th place in the Atlantic Alliance Euro-Caribbean.

The Seagulls had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Castillos going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old left fielder Jed Berridge came to the plate. Berridge hit a 2-run triple on a first pitch changeup from Narragansett hurler Jaime Encarnación. It was Berridge's 3rd triple of the year.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Berridge. "It sure beats the alternative."
