The Inverness Highlanders overcame a pretty good performance by Youngstown designated hitter Toshinobu Sasaki, beating the Thunder, 4-2, at The Fortress at Inverness. Sasaki went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs. With the win, the Highlanders improved to 35-31.

Inverness designated hitter Felipe Luna contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a slider to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 24th hit of the season and put the Highlanders ahead, 4-0.

"It was a good effort all around," said Luna.
