Insurers Handed 2-0 Loss by Port-au-Prince
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Port-au-Prince Bokors and the Omaha Insurers. Port-au-Prince won it, 2-0. Port-au-Prince starter Shigeaki Maeda was in command. John Barnes picked up the save for Port-au-Prince, his 14th of the year. The Bokors improved their record to 27-35 by beating Omaha.
Javier Cruz helped out the Port-au-Prince cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the first baseman drove in one run.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Cruz said.
