The Inverness Highlanders spoiled a good performance by Omaha designated hitter Ciaran MacKellar, bumping off Omaha, 9-7, at Cyclones Stadium. MacKellar went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. José Romero finished to wrap up his 8th save. Inverness has now won 4 straight.

Cliff de Best helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Highlanders.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," de Best said.
