Airborne Losing Streak at 9 After Extra-Inning Loss to Consigliere
The Camden Consigliere cut down the Hampton Airborne by the score of 7-6 in 15 innings. Much of the credit went to third baseman Malcolm Bergen. Bergen was 3-7 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Consigliere. Martin McHutchen snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-3 on the season. Greg Smith suffered the loss. Thad Barnes earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jason Terry? The Camden center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the 15th inning to put the Consigliere on top, 7-6. For the game, Terry had 2 doubles and 1 single in 7 at-bats.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Camden field general Edward Wright.

Hampton is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 9 games.
