Ghosts Take Tight Tilt, 3-2
|
Yoshinobu Amano, who is tied for 10th in the SL in innings pitched with 36.1, pitched well, but the Bakersfield Bears still fell short, losing, 3-2, to the Niihama-shi Ghosts at The Oaks at Aera Field. Niihama-shi is now 16-10.
Niihama-shi used a clutch at-bat from Vincente Gallardo to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Ghosts ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Gallardo. "But I have better dreams after a win."
