In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The 7-RBI night of designated hitter Richard Boggs, who is tied for 2nd in the ATAL in bases on balls with 31, helped the Bowling Green Rebels triumph, 9-7, over the Omaha Insurers. Bowling Green reliever Gideon Higman picked up the win to move to 1-0. Russell Fontenot suffered the loss. Picking up his 10th save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Austin Hawkins.

In the top of the eighth, the Rebels grabbed the lead when Boggs hit his 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Russell Fontenot made it 9-7, Bowling Green.

"I felt good about my swing," said Boggs.

Bowling Green is third in the Atlantic Alliance South with a record of 24-24.
