The Inverness Highlanders powered past the Hampton Airborne, 8-0, at Airborne Ballpark. Hui Ming provided some of the pop. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Barry Mckinna, the winner, improved to 4-2. He held the Airborne to no runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 0. Zhuo-cheng Ow nailed down the save.

Inverness used a well-timed hit by Tsuruki Inomata to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Highlanders ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Solid performance from our side," said Highlanders manager Chad Fountain.

Inverness is now 18-23, Hampton 7-34.
