The Port-au-Prince Bokors beat the Scranton Scary Monsters, 4-3. Port-au-Prince pitcher and Concord, North Carolina, native Robbie McDowell led the way. McDowell yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 5-2. Picking up the save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher John Barnes.

Steve Simpson, who is tied for 5th in the ATAL in stolen bases with 9, had a direct impact on the outcome. Simpson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Port-au-Prince up, 4-2.

"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Simpson. "And vice-versa."
