|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Neo-Tokyo Akira and the Yuma Arroyos, Jorge Salinas, who finished 3rd in the SL in ERA with 2.70 last year, was the difference-maker. The Neo-Tokyo left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Edel Teischer notched his 6th save of the season. Neo-Tokyo goes to 10-15.
Neo-Tokyo used the timely hitting of Henry Copeland to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Akira on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Copeland told reporters after the game: "All's well that ends well."
