González has 3 hits, Leads Scary Monsters to Win
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Scranton fans at Scranton Field.
Getting offensive support from Ernesto González, the Scranton Scary Monsters topped the Inverness Highlanders, 6-2. González went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Scary Monsters. This win makes it 5 in a row for Scranton.
González had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 fastball from Augusto Chávez, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Scary Monsters a 3-0 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for González.
Scranton manager Francisco Escobar praised his team's "businesslike approach."
