Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Santurce Castillos and Scranton Scary Monsters.

The Santurce Castillos topped the Scranton Scary Monsters, 5-3, in Atlantic Alliance action at Santurce Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Santurce pitcher Nathan Cowan. Cowan got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 3 runs.

The Castillos got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jed Berridge. For the game, Berridge went 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Santurce a 2-0 lead.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Berridge.

Santurce is now 12-12.
