The Narragansett Seagulls rode a solid performance from 22-year-old starting pitcher Patrick Smith to a win, beating the Inverness Highlanders, 6-1, at The Fortress at Inverness. The win puts Narragansett at 14-12.

Narragansett won the game in part because of Sadaharu Okamura. The designated hitter ripped a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Seagulls ahead, 3-1. For the game, Okamura had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
