Insurers Upend Bokors, 4-1
|
The Omaha Insurers picked up a win at Cyclones Stadium, knocking off the Port-au-Prince Bokors, 4-1. Starting pitcher Ovídio Bivar played a key role in the triumph. Bivar yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-3. Bobby Bush earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.
Making an impact for the home team was Kai Berridge. In the bottom of the sixth, the 21-year old third baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-1, Insurers.
"All good teams, all good offenses go through challenging times," said Port-au-Prince manager Ty Lee. "This is another one."
The win gives Omaha a record of 5-15.
