Downbound Insurers Lose 9th Straight
|
The Omaha Insurers extended their losing streak with a defeat by the Narragansett Seagulls.
Narragansett Seagulls starter Luis Peña found his groove in his team's 8-3 win over the Omaha Insurers. Juan Aguilar, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings.
Narragansett third baseman Gustaf Kluin produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with Bobby Bush on the mound and Narragansett leading 3-2. Kluin hit a sacrifice fly.
"Losing makes me cranky," said Omaha manager Naozane Watanabe. "And right now there's a big black storm cloud above my head."
The overall performance of the 2042 Insurers has been rotten so far.
