Insurers in Free Fall, Lose 8th Straight
The Inverness Highlanders, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at The Fortress at Inverness.

The Highlanders earned a hard-fought, 4-3 win in 12 innings at The Fortress at Inverness. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Omaha pitcher Eric Grimes. Grimes went 8 innings and allowed no runs. Omaha, with the loss, is 2-9.

The Highlanders got a clutch hit from designated hitter Manuel Kruit. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Highlanders.

"We haven't been playing to the level we want to play," said Omaha manager Naozane Watanabe.
