The Inverness Highlanders knocked off the Omaha Insurers, 5-1, in Atlantic Alliance action at The Fortress at Inverness. Inverness pitcher and Naples, Italy, native Antony Batticelli had an outstanding performance. Omaha is 2-6 after the defeat.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Jack Reid didn't flinch. With a runner on 1st and Omaha trailing 1-0, Reid retired Purwanto Ananas to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Reid, with a wink.
