Narragansett and Liverpool got after it at Liverpool Baseball Stadium.

The Liverpool Beatles got a sterling performance from pitcher Seung-nam Chong, but the Narragansett Seagulls still prevailed, 3-1. Chong threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Edris Chiwanda, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 3.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Picking up the save was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Lorenzo Martínez.

Narragansett needed the clutch hitting of Kuniyoshi Fujita to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Seagulls on top, 3-1. For the game, Fujita had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Every loss hurts," said Liverpool manager Pancho Guerrero. "But this was a tough one."

The win moves Narragansett to a record of 4-2.
