Ojeda, Zephyrs Beat Warriors, 4-1
|
The Reno Zephyrs received a superlative performance from starting pitcher José Ojeda, allowing them to bump off the Duluth Warriors, 4-1. Paul de Kook picked up the save for Reno, his 1st of the year. The loss has the Warriors at 11-13.
Ojeda was the winner. He's now 4-0, after putting the Duluth offense in a vise grip. Over 8.1 innings, he gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while racking up 8 Ks.
"José was able to execute his pitches," said Reno manager António Morales. "Simple as that."
