In a low-scoring affair between the London Underground and the Arlington Bureaucrats, pitcher Dave Robertson was the difference between victory and defeat. The London right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Underground win. Robertson, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up no walks. Arlington, with the loss, is still a robust 14-6.

The Bureaucrats had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Underground going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old second baseman Miguel Fernández came to the plate. Fernández hit a 2-run home run on a 1-2 slider from Arlington hurler Brian Clark. It was Fernández's 2nd home run of the year.

Fernández said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
