Bureaucrats Beat San Antonio, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Arlington Bureaucrats and the San Antonio Calzones of Laredo, Brian Clark, who finished 5th in the SL in wins with 16 in 2033, proved to be the difference. The Arlington left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Bureaucrats win. The Bureaucrats have hit the ground running, raising their record to 10-5. While it's still too soon to talk about Arlington hoisting their 2nd Planetary Extreme Championship trophy, fans are getting excited about their strong start.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Arlington center fielder Wira Djojohadiksumo, facing Shan-tang Chou, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Bureaucrats the 3-2 win.
"Games like this is what baseball's all about," said Bureaucrats manager Rob Raines.
