Hermits Walk It Off for 2nd Win of Season
|
The Taitung HS Hermits gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
Despite a great performance by Kisarazu Sogo HS third baseman Sawao Kubo, the Taitung HS Hermits defeated the Ninja by the score of 6-5 at Taitung Ballpark. Kubo slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Taitung HS sits at 2-1.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Taitung HS left fielder Tony Sánchez, facing Yaichiro Otsuka, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Hermits the 6-5 win.
"This place went bananas," Sánchez said.
