Torrenas Prevail, as Semifinals Goes to the Wire
Depending on your loyalties, the Semifinals was either thrilling or heartbreaking.

The series went down to its final game, with the Zapopan Torrenas and the Ciudad Juarez Velas giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Torrenas came out on top, winning 8-4 at Velas Ballpark today to take the series 4-3.

"We're lucky to be going into the Gran Final de Mejico," said Zapopan pitcher Ramiro López. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason."

López earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .379 average, with 0 home runs, 5 RBI and 8 runs scored.

The Zapopan Torrenas will play against the Acapulco Zambullidores del Acantilado in the next round. Acapulco won their series against the San Luis Potosi Jardineros 4 games to 2. The Gran Final de Mejico schedule will be announced after the Semifinals finishes.
