Padilla, Claymores Take Dramatic Game 1 for 1-0 Series Lead
The Scottish Claymores started the Divisional in dramatic fashion, stealing Game 1 from the London Underground in a walk-off in the 14th inning. Scottish took the 2-1 win thanks in large part to a good day from starter René Padilla. The right-hander threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball in the win, which gave the Claymores a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-7 series.

Scottish got a knockout punch from Júlio Luna. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Padilla.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Castle in Edinburgh.
