Road Win Lifts Camden to 3-2 Lead in R4
|
With starter António López leading the charge, the Camden Consigliere defeated the Gatineau Balloonists, 6-4, in Game 5 of the Great Northern Cup. The right-hander threw 7.1 innings allowing 2 runs at Ballonists Ballpark to help Camden take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.
It could have been a different outcome for Camden, had it not been for Jason Terry, the former first round draft pick . Terry contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Camden up, 1-0.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Terry. "You've got to get results."
Game 6 is scheduled for Monday at Camden Stadium in Camden.
